Twenty-nine countries, north to south
Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt in the north; Senegal, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire and Nigeria in the west; Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda in the east; Botswana, Zambia, Malawi and South Africa in the south — plus Madagascar, the Seychelles and Réunion offshore.
It's the widest coverage of any plan we sell outside the Global one, which makes it genuinely useful for overland routes that would otherwise need half a dozen separate SIMs.
The 5 GB ceiling, stated up front
This plan stops at 5 GB. There is no 10, 20 or 50 GB tier — our supplier doesn't offer one on this package, and we'd rather say so on the product page than let you find out when you go looking for a top-up size that isn't there.
What that means in practice: if you're out for a month and using data properly, this plan alone won't carry you. Either top up as you go, or buy single-country plans for the places you'll spend the longest and keep this for the hops in between.
It's also our priciest regional plan
£9.99 for 1 GB is more than double what the same size costs on our North America plan. That's what wholesale data across the continent costs us, not a margin decision, and we're not going to dress it up.
So it's worth doing the sum. Two countries over a fortnight will often come out cheaper as two single-country plans. Five countries in a month is where this one clearly wins. Somewhere in between, check both — the country pages list their prices plainly.
Good to know
Questions, answered
Why does it stop at 5 GB?+
Because that's the largest size our supplier sells on this package — it isn't a restriction we've added. If you need more than 5 GB you can top the eSIM up, which extends both the data and the validity, or pair it with a single-country plan for wherever you're staying longest.
Is it cheaper than buying country plans?+
It depends on how many countries. Across four or five it's clearly better value. Across two it often isn't — our single-country plans start considerably lower, so compare before you buy. We'd rather you spent less.
How do I install it?+
After checkout we email your eSIM and a QR code. Scan it in your phone's settings, switch the line on, and you're ready — do it before you fly and it activates when you land.
Will it work on my phone?+
Most phones from the last few years support eSIM (iPhone XS and newer, recent Samsung/Pixel). Check your phone in Settings, or use our compatibility checker.
When does my plan start?+
Validity counts from first connection in the destination, not from purchase — so you can buy and install early without wasting days.
Can I keep using my normal number?+
Yes. The eSIM is data-only and runs alongside your usual SIM, so calls and texts on your main number still work.
