The twenty countries — and the one that isn't
This plan covers twenty: Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. It stretches further than most Asia plans, which tend to stop at the East and South-East and leave out the subcontinent entirely.
One gap worth knowing before you buy: Cambodia is not included. If your route is Thailand to Cambodia to Vietnam — and for a lot of people it is — you'll want a Cambodia plan alongside this one. We'd rather tell you now than have you find out at the border with no signal.
When one plan beats four
A single country is nearly always cheaper bought on its own, so if you're flying to Bangkok and back, buy Thailand.
This one earns its place on the routes that keep moving: Tokyo then Seoul, the Singapore–Kuala Lumpur–Bangkok loop, or a longer run through the subcontinent. Four separate country plans means four eSIMs to install and four things to remember mid-trip, and it usually costs more than doing it once.
How much data for an Asia trip
A fortnight across two or three cities sits comfortably on 3 GB at £14.99. A month of proper travelling — maps running constantly, translation apps, booking transport as you go — is a 10 GB job.
Sizes stop at 20 GB here rather than the 50 GB you'll find on our Europe and North America plans. If you're out for several months, a 20 GB plan topped up as you go works out better than waiting for a tier that doesn't exist.

Questions, answered
Is Cambodia included?+
No. This plan covers twenty countries but Cambodia isn't among them. If it's on your itinerary, add a Cambodia plan — the two run alongside each other on the same phone without any conflict.
Does it cover mainland China?+
Yes — mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan are all included. Bear in mind the usual restrictions on what's reachable from inside mainland China apply to any connection there, ours included.
Should I buy this or a single-country plan?+
One country only, buy that country — it'll cost less. Two or more, this normally wins, and you're not installing a fresh eSIM every time you land somewhere new.
How do I install it?+
After checkout we email your eSIM and a QR code. Scan it in your phone's settings, switch the line on, and you're ready — do it before you fly and it activates when you land.
Will it work on my phone?+
Most phones from the last few years support eSIM (iPhone XS and newer, recent Samsung/Pixel). Check your phone in Settings, or use our compatibility checker.
When does my plan start?+
Validity counts from first connection in the destination, not from purchase — so you can buy and install early without wasting days.
Can I keep using my normal number?+
Yes. The eSIM is data-only and runs alongside your usual SIM, so calls and texts on your main number still work.
