FLOW across a well-covered island
Your eSIM connects to FLOW on 4G. Barbados is compact — about 34km by 23km — densely settled and thoroughly covered. There's very little of the island where you'd be genuinely without signal.
Bridgetown, the west coast resorts from Holetown to Speightstown, the south coast around Oistins and St Lawrence Gap, and the rugged east coast at Bathsheba are all served.
Two coasts, two very different islands
The Caribbean-facing west coast is calm, expensive and where most of the hotels sit. The Atlantic east coast is wild, largely undeveloped and where Bajans go at weekends. The drive across takes half an hour and feels like changing country.
Both have coverage, which is useful because the east coast roads are unsignposted and the interior lanes wind through cane fields with few landmarks. Maps earn their keep here more than the island's size suggests.
How much data
Barbados is at Caribbean wholesale rates, so buy for the days out rather than the whole stay — hotel Wi-Fi handles the rest. 1 GB at £7.99 covers a week of exploring for most visitors, and 3 GB is ample for a fortnight of heavier use.
Good to know
Questions, answered
Is coverage good on the east coast?+
Yes. Bathsheba, the Scotland District and the Atlantic side generally are covered, which helps given how few road signs there are once you leave the main highways.
Is the island small enough that I don't need data?+
It's small, but the interior lanes wind through cane fields with few landmarks and minimal signage. Live maps are genuinely useful here — more than the island's size would suggest.
How do I install it?+
After checkout we email your eSIM and a QR code. Scan it in your phone's settings, switch the line on, and you're ready — do it before you fly and it activates when you land.
Will it work on my phone?+
Most phones from the last few years support eSIM (iPhone XS and newer, recent Samsung/Pixel). Check your phone in Settings, or use our compatibility checker.
When does my plan start?+
Validity counts from first connection in the destination, not from purchase — so you can buy and install early without wasting days.
Can I keep using my normal number?+
Yes. The eSIM is data-only and runs alongside your usual SIM, so calls and texts on your main number still work.
