FLOW around a mountainous island

Your eSIM connects to FLOW on 4G. St Lucia is volcanic and steep, which makes for spectacular scenery and a coverage map that follows the coast road closely.

Castries, Rodney Bay, Gros Islet, Marigot Bay, Soufrière and Vieux Fort are all covered. The interior rainforest and the higher slopes are much thinner — the Tet Paul trail has signal, the Gros Piton climb loses it as you go up.

The drive south, which is the memorable bit

The road from Castries down to Soufrière is one of the great Caribbean drives and also one of the more demanding — steep switchbacks, blind bends and gradients that surprise people used to hire cars elsewhere.

Coverage holds for most of it. Maps are worth having, though local advice on whether to drive it yourself is worth more. Plenty of visitors take a water taxi down the coast instead, which is quicker and considerably calmer.

How much data

St Lucia is priced at Caribbean wholesale rates and most resorts include Wi-Fi, so buy for excursions. 1 GB at £9.99 covers a week of days out. Sailing and catamaran trips along the west coast hold signal near shore.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Will I have signal climbing Gros Piton?+

For the lower section, generally yes, thinning as you ascend. It's a guided climb regardless and your guide is the safety plan, not your phone.

Is coverage good on the drive to Soufrière?+

For most of it, yes. The road is steep and winding with blind bends, so maps help — though many visitors prefer the water taxi down the coast, which is faster and much less stressful.

How do I install it?+

After checkout we email your eSIM and a QR code. Scan it in your phone's settings, switch the line on, and you're ready — do it before you fly and it activates when you land.

Will it work on my phone?+

Most phones from the last few years support eSIM (iPhone XS and newer, recent Samsung/Pixel). Check your phone in Settings, or use our compatibility checker.

When does my plan start?+

Validity counts from first connection in the destination, not from purchase — so you can buy and install early without wasting days.

Can I keep using my normal number?+

Yes. The eSIM is data-only and runs alongside your usual SIM, so calls and texts on your main number still work.
