Digicel across both islands
Your eSIM connects to Digicel on 4G, covering both Trinidad and Tobago on the same plan. Port of Spain, San Fernando, Chaguanas and the western Trinidad corridor are well covered, as is Scarborough and the Crown Point end of Tobago.
Trinidad's Northern Range and the remoter east coast are patchier, as is the far windward end of Tobago beyond Speyside.
Carnival, and why data matters then
Trinidad Carnival is one of the largest in the world and the two days before Ash Wednesday reorganise the entire island. Road closures, band meeting points, party locations and timings all move, and almost all of it is communicated over WhatsApp and social media in real time.
If you're coming for Carnival, having working data is not optional — it's how you find your band. Networks do get congested in the middle of the biggest events, which is worth planning around rather than being surprised by.
How much data
A regular week across both islands runs on 1 GB at £7.99. Carnival is a different matter — constant messaging, video, location sharing and uploads. 5 GB at £37.99 is a more realistic figure for that fortnight.
Good to know
Questions, answered
Does one plan cover both Trinidad and Tobago?+
Yes. Both islands are on the same Digicel network and the same plan, with nothing to change when you fly or ferry between them.
Will the network cope during Carnival?+
Mostly, though congestion in the middle of the largest events is real and affects all networks. Buy more data than usual — Carnival runs on live messaging and location sharing — and don't rely on getting a message out at the peak of a big fete.
How do I install it?+
After checkout we email your eSIM and a QR code. Scan it in your phone's settings, switch the line on, and you're ready — do it before you fly and it activates when you land.
Will it work on my phone?+
Most phones from the last few years support eSIM (iPhone XS and newer, recent Samsung/Pixel). Check your phone in Settings, or use our compatibility checker.
When does my plan start?+
Validity counts from first connection in the destination, not from purchase — so you can buy and install early without wasting days.
Can I keep using my normal number?+
Yes. The eSIM is data-only and runs alongside your usual SIM, so calls and texts on your main number still work.
