Why an eSIM beats a tourist SIM in India
India has some of the strictest SIM registration rules anywhere. Buying locally as a visitor means KYC paperwork, passport and visa copies, a photo, a local reference in some cases, and a wait for activation that can run into days. Travellers regularly land expecting a quick counter purchase and lose an afternoon to it.

Jio and Airtel coverage
