Claro across the country
Your eSIM connects to Claro on 4G, the largest network in Colombia by some distance. Bogotá, Medellín, Cartagena, Cali, Santa Marta and the coffee region around Salento are all well covered.
The Amazon south, the Chocó on the Pacific coast and parts of the Llanos are thin — largely rainforest and plain with few people in them.
Tayrona, the Lost City and the coast
Tayrona national park has patchy coverage — some at the entrances and main beaches, little further in. The Ciudad Perdida trek is a four to five day walk into the Sierra Nevada with essentially none, and the tour operators plan on that basis.
Cartagena, Santa Marta and Minca are all fine. Worth noting that Colombia is a country where having working maps and a ride-hailing app genuinely improves how you move around cities at night, so it's not a bad place to have data.
How much data
A fortnight covering Bogotá, Medellín and the Caribbean coast runs on 5 GB at £15.99. Colombian data is pricier per gigabyte than neighbouring countries, so buy for what you'll use rather than out of habit.

Will I have signal on the Lost City trek?+
Essentially none. Ciudad Perdida is a four to five day walk into the Sierra Nevada with no meaningful coverage. Tour operators plan around it — tell people at home you'll be offline.
Is coverage good in the coffee region?+
Yes. Salento, Filandia, Manizales and the main coffee-farm valleys are well covered on Claro, as are the roads in from Pereira and Armenia.
How do I install it?+
