Three networks in 2,600 square kilometres

Your eSIM can use POST Luxembourg, Orange and Tango, all on 5G. For a country you can drive across in under an hour, that's generous coverage, and in practice signal is comprehensive nearly everywhere.

Luxembourg City, the Moselle valley, Echternach and the Ardennes in the north are all well served.

The border problem, which is real here

Luxembourg is small and surrounded by Belgium, France and Germany, and mobile signal doesn't respect frontiers. Near the borders — which is most of the country — your phone can latch onto a French, Belgian or German network without telling you in any obvious way.

If you're staying close to a border, glance at the carrier name in your settings before assuming your plan is what's running. If you're regularly crossing into the neighbours, which is normal here given the size of the place, the Europe plan covers all four countries on one eSIM and removes the question entirely.

How much data

A weekend in Luxembourg City sits fine on 1 GB at £1.00. A week including the Moselle and the Ardennes wants 3 GB. Business travellers in and out regularly should look at the 50 GB, valid 180 days.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Will my phone connect to a French or German network by mistake?+

It can. Luxembourg is small enough that most of it is near a border, and signal spills across. Check the carrier name in your settings if you're staying close to one, or use the Europe plan to cover all four countries.

Should I buy Luxembourg alone or the Europe plan?+

If you're staying put, the country plan is cheaper at £1.00. If you're crossing into Belgium, France or Germany — which is easily done here — the Europe plan makes more sense.

How do I install it?+

After checkout we email your eSIM and a QR code. Scan it in your phone's settings, switch the line on, and you're ready — do it before you fly and it activates when you land.

Will it work on my phone?+

Most phones from the last few years support eSIM (iPhone XS and newer, recent Samsung/Pixel). Check your phone in Settings, or use our compatibility checker.

When does my plan start?+

Validity counts from first connection in the destination, not from purchase — so you can buy and install early without wasting days.

Can I keep using my normal number?+

Yes. The eSIM is data-only and runs alongside your usual SIM, so calls and texts on your main number still work.
