Movistar and Orange, mainland and islands
Your eSIM connects to Movistar and Orange, both on 5G. Movistar is the incumbent and has the deepest reach into rural Spain, which is what you want once you're off the coast and into Extremadura or the Picos.
The cities, the Costa del Sol, the Costa Brava and the whole Mediterranean strip are comfortably covered. So are the Balearics and the Canaries — both are Spain for network purposes, which catches people out.

This is the single most common question we get about Spain. Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza all sit under the Spain plan. There is nothing extra to buy and nothing to switch when you fly out from the mainland.
Worth knowing that the Canaries are outside the EU VAT area but firmly inside Spanish mobile coverage — the two things get muddled surprisingly often.
How much data for a Spanish trip
A week on the Costa with hotel Wi-Fi doing the heavy lifting runs happily on 1 GB, which costs £1.00. A fortnight touring Andalusia with maps on all day wants 5 GB. Anyone working from Barcelona or Valencia for a month should take the 20 GB at £12.99.

Does it cover the Canary Islands and Mallorca?+
Yes. The Balearics and the Canaries are both covered by the Spain plan at no extra cost, on the same Movistar and Orange networks as the mainland. Nothing to swap when you fly between them.
Will it work on the AVE high-speed trains?+
Mostly. The Madrid–Barcelona and Madrid–Seville corridors have decent trackside coverage, with the usual dropouts in tunnels and on the emptier stretches of meseta in between.
How do I install it?+
After checkout we email your eSIM and a QR code. Scan it in your phone's settings, switch the line on, and you're ready — do it before you fly and it activates when you land.
Will it work on my phone?+
Most phones from the last few years support eSIM (iPhone XS and newer, recent Samsung/Pixel). Check your phone in Settings, or use our compatibility checker.

Can I keep using my normal number?+
