NOS and Vodafone, coast to border
Your eSIM uses NOS and Vodafone Portugal, both on 5G. Portugal punches well above its weight on mobile coverage — it's compact, densely populated along the coast, and the networks reflect that.
Lisbon, Porto, the Algarve, the Silver Coast and the Douro valley are all strongly covered. The Serra da Estrela and the emptier stretches of the Alentejo interior are the only places you'll really notice a drop.
Madeira and the Azores are included
Both archipelagos are covered by the Portugal plan with nothing extra to buy. Madeira has good coverage across Funchal and the main levada routes, though the deeper ravines will drop out. The Azores are well served in the towns on each island, with gaps up on the calderas and along the more remote coast paths.
Given both are a two-hour-plus flight from Lisbon, it's a genuinely useful inclusion rather than a technicality.
How much data
A long weekend in Lisbon or Porto is comfortable on 1 GB for £1.00. A fortnight in the Algarve or a surf trip up the coast wants 3 GB. Remote workers settling in for a month should take the 20 GB at £12.99.

Are Madeira and the Azores covered?+
Yes, both are included in the Portugal plan at no extra cost and on the same networks. Coverage is good in the towns and along the main routes on each island.
Will it work on the trains between Lisbon and Porto?+
Yes. The Alfa Pendular and Intercidades route runs through well-covered territory for almost its entire length, so you'll keep a workable connection for most of the journey.
How do I install it?+
After checkout we email your eSIM and a QR code. Scan it in your phone's settings, switch the line on, and you're ready — do it before you fly and it activates when you land.
Will it work on my phone?+
