Strong coverage in a small, vertical country
Your eSIM connects to Mobitel, run by Telekom Slovenije, and Telemach, both on 5G. Slovenia packs Alps, karst, forest and coast into an area smaller than Wales, and the networks handle it well.

Caves, gorges and the places signal doesn't reach
Postojna and Škocjan are among the finest cave systems in Europe and have precisely no mobile coverage underground, which is entirely as it should be. Same for the Vintgar and Tolmin gorges in their deeper sections.
None of this is a problem if you've downloaded your tickets in advance. It's only a problem if your booking confirmation lives in an email you planned to open at the entrance.
How much data
A long weekend in Ljubljana and Bled sits fine on 1 GB at £1.00. A week including the Soča valley and the coast wants 3 GB. Hikers and photographers uploading daily should take the 5 GB at £3.99.

Will I have signal at Lake Bled and Bohinj?+
Yes, both are well covered including the lakeside paths and the main viewpoints. It's the higher Julian Alps trails and the Triglav approaches that lose signal.
Does it work inside Postojna Cave?+
No — there's no mobile coverage underground in Postojna or Škocjan, for any network. Download or screenshot your tickets before you go in.
How do I install it?+
