Digicel on the coastal strip
Your eSIM connects to Digicel on 4G. Guyana's population lives almost entirely on a narrow coastal belt, and so does the mobile network — Georgetown, New Amsterdam, Anna Regina and the coast road are covered.
Inland is over eighty per cent rainforest with very few people in it, and coverage there is minimal to nonexistent.
Kaieteur and the interior
Kaieteur Falls, the single-drop waterfall that's the country's main draw, is reached by a small plane from Georgetown and has no mobile coverage. Nor does the Iwokrama forest, the Rupununi savannah or the Amerindian villages beyond.
Interior travel here runs on scheduled flights, riverboats and radio. Confirm everything before you leave the coast, and expect genuine disconnection for the duration.
How much data
Given how much of a Guyana trip is spent beyond coverage, buy small. 1 GB at £7.99 covers Georgetown and the coastal stretch for a week. Only go larger if you're based in the capital for work.

Will I have signal at Kaieteur Falls?+
No. It's reached by small aircraft into deep rainforest with no coverage at all. The same applies to Iwokrama and the Rupununi — confirm all arrangements before leaving Georgetown.
How much data do I need?+
Less than you'd think. Coverage exists mainly on the coastal strip, so 1 GB usually covers the connected part of a trip. Interior legs are offline regardless of what you buy.
How do I install it?+
