The UK Foreign Office maintains advice on Venezuela that has for some years included warnings against travel to parts or all of the country. That guidance changes, and it affects insurance validity as much as safety.
Check it before you book, not after. We sell the plan because people do travel there — for family, for work, for journalism — but we'd rather point you at the advice than pretend the question doesn't exist.
Digitel coverage
Your eSIM connects to Digitel on 4G. Caracas, Maracaibo, Valencia, Mérida and the main cities have coverage. Venezuela's infrastructure has been under considerable strain, and power cuts affect mobile networks as much as anything else — service can be intermittent in ways that aren't about your plan.
Canaima and the Gran Sabana are remote and largely uncovered. Los Roques has limited coverage on the main island.

Why is coverage sometimes unavailable even in cities?+
Venezuela's power supply has been unreliable for years, and mobile networks depend on it. Outages can interrupt service in ways unrelated to your plan or device.
How do I install it?+
